Illegal & Unauthorised Housing Schemes Islamabad

Capitol Development Authority:

Illegal & Unauthorised Housing Schemes Islamabad: It has come into the notice of the authority that plots are being sold/marketed, in the name of following illegal housing schemes/agro Farming Schemes (as the sponsors of these Illegal schemes/land subdivisions have not obtained any approval/NOC from CDA) in Islamabad.

It is important for the public and stakeholders to be aware that the CDA Ordinance of 1960, ICT (Zoning) Regulations of 1992, and the Revised Modalities and Procedures for private housing scheme development empower the CDA to supervise housing and farm housing scheme planning and development. The CDA provides a two-tier approval process for these schemes. Layout Plans (LOP) are initially approved, followed by No Objection Certificates (NOC) after all formalities are met. Once the NOC is obtained from the CDA, sponsors may begin development and plot sales.

The public is cautioned against investing in illegal, fake, or unapproved housing societies. It is also advised to obtain current information about the legitimacy and status of societies approved by PHATA directly from PHATA. Additionally, one should disregard counterfeit screenshots of the CDA page on social media and always confirm the status of private housing societies by visiting the CDA webpage directly.

The list of housing societies’ status is regularly updated by the CDA. For the most current information, please consult the CDA website or get in touch with the CDA directly.
