CDA To Digitalise Property Transaction Services

Capital Development Authority (CDA) to Fully Digitise Property Transactions in Islamabad

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced a comprehensive digitalisation initiative for all property transactions within Islamabad. Starting from August 14th 2024, properties in the capital city will undergo complete digitalisation.

Key points of this initiative include: 

  1. Electronic Registry:
    • The purchase and sale of properties, including transactions involving gift deeds, power of attorney, and mortgages, will be conducted exclusively through an e-registry system.
  2. Project Scope:
    • During a meeting held at the CDA headquarters, Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, shared details of the project.
    • Scanning and indexing of property records will be completed within two months.
    • The digitisation process will also extend to historical records, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
    • Maps will be digitally integrated as part of the project.
  3. Benefits and Accessibility:
    • The public will have direct access to their property records, which will be linked to the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) system.
    • Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping will enhance property location accuracy.
    • Overseas Pakistanis can verify property status before engaging in buying or selling transactions.
  4. Enhanced Transparency and Efficiency:
    • Muhammad Ali Randhawa expressed confidence that this digitalisation effort will significantly improve transparency and streamline property transactions.
