Capital Development Authority (CDA) to Fully Digitise Property Transactions in Islamabad

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced a comprehensive digitalisation initiative for all property transactions within Islamabad. Starting from August 14th 2024, properties in the capital city will undergo complete digitalisation.
Key points of this initiative include:
- Electronic Registry:
- The purchase and sale of properties, including transactions involving gift deeds, power of attorney, and mortgages, will be conducted exclusively through an e-registry system.
- Project Scope:
- During a meeting held at the CDA headquarters, Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, shared details of the project.
- Scanning and indexing of property records will be completed within two months.
- The digitisation process will also extend to historical records, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
- Maps will be digitally integrated as part of the project.
- Benefits and Accessibility:
- The public will have direct access to their property records, which will be linked to the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) system.
- Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping will enhance property location accuracy.
- Overseas Pakistanis can verify property status before engaging in buying or selling transactions.
- Enhanced Transparency and Efficiency:
- Muhammad Ali Randhawa expressed confidence that this digitalisation effort will significantly improve transparency and streamline property transactions.
